Stage 4 is the final stage of the Northbourne Village precinct. This has been designed as hotel/serviced apartment building that will complement the existing residential buildings and complete the precinct.
The design of Northbourne Village pays homage to the existing heritage-listed buildings located on the site. The façade concept for Stage 4 responds to the adjoining Owen Flats and ties the architecture together with the other four new buildings within the precinct. It also responds to the requirements of the Territory Government and the National Capital Authority aimed at enhancing the quality of design for buildings along Northbourne Avenue. Connections throughout the precinct have been planned to be sympathetic to the site’s heritage and ensure the intrinsic landscape values are maintained.
As the site for Stage 4 is narrow and constrained, there is no basement parking proposed under this building. The hotel/serviced apartment parking will be located under the adjacent Stage 3 building.
There is a Registered tree on site which will be retained, with the building designed around its protection zone.
