Projects — Northbourne Village
1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments
The development currently designated as Northbourne Village Stage 3 responds to new regulations from the National Capital Authority and the ACT Government, designed to realise a combined vision for Northbourne Avenue.
The aim is to enhance the quality of design for buildings along Canberra’s gateway boulevard and to increase the standard of amenity of the residential apartments they contain. Northbourne Village Stage 3 will be one of the first developments to be designed in accordance with these new regulations. It will consist of approximately 350 residential apartments in two multi-level buildings in addition to several re-imagined units in the heritage flats that have been retained on the site.
Sustainability principles will be a priority. The buildings will incorporate passive solar design to optimise heat storage in winter and reduce heat transfer in summer. Separation between buildings will reduce overlooking, improving privacy and helping to maximise natural light to all apartments. Open spaces on the site will include both landscaped public spaces and shared private spaces for residents.
At JWLand, we take pride in undertaking active and genuine community engagement. We have now completed the Community Consultation phase for Block 2 Section 115 Lyneham.
